My Story

My mission through this cycle challenge is to raise awareness of the global Alzheimer's pandemic and how we will stand our best chance to avoid getting this disease.

At the end of 2019, we lost my mum to Alzheimer's Disease.  Way before then, we had already lost the amazing woman she had been during the 15 years that she was living with the disease. At 68 I am also a candidate!  There is no cure; but thanks to ADI I am discovering what I need to do to push Alzheimer's away so that hopefully I can continue to be there for my wife, my daughter and my grandchildren.

I want to raise as much money as possible to support the great work that ADI is doing, not just in raising awareness for all of us, but also in fighting for the ever-increasing Alzheimer's disease pandemic to be taken more seriously by governments around the world. 

As part of my long journey by bicycle from Switzerland to Japan, I am also raising awareness about what we can all do to fight Alzheimer's.
